Shauna is a firm believer in social change and recognises that every young person should be given the opportunity to achieve their life goals. Originally from North Dublin, she worked in youth services and has experience in international advocacy, lobbying for the Rights of Children at the United Nations Office in Geneva.
As part of the Justice Team, Shauna's role involves working with young people who have found themsleves involved in offending behaviour. Her goal is for each young person to become the best version of themselves and make good life choices, eventually staying free from the justice system. In her own words:
“I love my job and I am motivated by the resilience my young people show, in spite of the challenges and adversity they experience. I’ve a burning fire in my belly to fight for structural change.”
Outside of work, Shauna enjoys exploring new places and spending time with family and friends. She is a fan of yoga and meditation, but also loves a good music festival in summer! Shauna graduated with Honors in Youth and Community Development from TUD and also has a Level 5 and 6 in Social Care.
