Emer joined us in August 2024 as a Youth Worker on our Solas@School team. Previously, Emer worked with Youth Advocate Ireland mentoring young men and women and with Crosscare as a Youth Development officer in Finglas and Swords for 9 years. In her own words:

I love Youth Work because it creates a space where young people can reach their full potential, every day is different and working with young people can be so fun! As a young person I was involved in groups in the Canal Communities so I have seen first hand how youth work can benefit a young person. I think it’s a privilege to be able to connect with young people and their communities and to witness the growth in a young person through the youth work process.  

Emer is from Inchicore and holds a Youth and Community work Degree from Maynooth and a Masters in Criminology from DIT. Outside of work she loves to spend time with family and friends and enjoys going to the gym.
